Diplomata nel marzo del 2016 in Mediazione Linguistica d'Impresa con la combinazione Russo-Inglese, mi sono dedicata negli anni successivi all'assistenza al cliente e comunicazione (per un'azienda e-commerce) e recentemente alla cooperazione internazionale, senza però mai mettere da parte le conoscenze acquisite nel triennio (soprattutto per quanto riguarda la traduzione scritta).
Dopo un anno passato in Perù collaborando con una ONG di sviluppo sociale, ho deciso di rimettermi nel mondo della traduzione, dove già avevo esperienze in passato. Il fatto di aver vissuto per un anno in un paese dove lo spagnolo è la lingua ufficiale mi ha permesso di acquisire una maggiore dimestichezza e padronanza della lingua, dandomi la possibilità quindi di potermi lanciare anche in traduzioni dallo spagnolo all'italiano.
Attualmente seguo corsi online di spagnolo (di potenziamento) e di portoghese perché non è mai troppo tardi per imparare una nuova lingua, vero?

    Community Development Volunteer

    Servizio Civile Nazionale - Cusco, Perù

    Microcredit for Development (MIDE) "The Chuspa" is a private non-profit organization based in Cusco and located in the southern highlands of Peru. It offers comprehensive financial and non-financial services to peasant women, who are generally excluded from obtaining credit and live in hard to reach areas.

    My duties as a Community Development Volunteer are:
    - Interviewing the women living in the different communities where the NGO operates to know their types of activities, their personal lives and their visions and hopes for the future;
    - Accurate social study of 13 communities and provinces of Cusco and Arequipa regions and evaluation of issues and limits that every community is facing;
    - Cooperating with other institutions to develop workshops and events to work on communities' issues and to promote the social work of the NGO;
    - Creating and developing workshops in two schools of the Amazonic Forest region to give the secondary level school students a future-oriented education.

    Cooperated in the project “Parole per mangiare / Words for food” for the creation of a multilingual dictionary for Expo 2015 (Dictionary of Food and Nutrition, PLAN editions) in collaboration with The University of Milan (or UNIMI) and ALMA, The International School of Italian Cuisine, under the aegis of the Organizing Committee for Expo 2015.

    During the stage I organized and managed the following tasks with a team of translators:

    - Translation of terms and definitions from Italian to both English and Spanish and vice versa;
    - Recording of the pronunciation of English terms for the online glossary;
    - Editing of Italian and English terms and definitions;

- Cucina (come in tutte le cose mi piace sperimentare, e quale posto migliore se non dietro a dei fornelli?);
- Fotografia (ho seguito un corso di specializzazione di 6 mesi presso l'Istituto Europeo di Design - IED in Fashion Styling dove si sono svolti diversi moduli riguardanti la fotografia e la produzione di materiale video);
- Viaggiare per conoscere nuove culture, realtà e paesaggi meravigliosi;
- Volontariato e Cooperazione Internazionale (di particolare rilevanza l'esperienza in Namibia di tre mesi dell'anno scorso durante la quale lavoravo in un centro di recupero scolastico per bambini dai 4 ai 14 anni in una delle baraccopoli di Windhoek).
