Bio
My experience as a radio broadcast presenter and author has started in Paris at Radio Aligre FM 93.1, historic “radio libre” of the Parisian scene (founded in the 80's), with the programme “Philosophie au présent”. Once a month the programme hosts important international intellectuals (such as Barbara Cassin, Gerldine Muhlmann, Rithy Panh....) with whom topical issues are discussed for the general public.
As an author for the cinema, in 2022 my feature screenplay "Principiava l'autunno" (“So did the Autumn start”, inspired by the life of the late Romantic painter Lionello Balestrieri) ranked 3rd at the Ruggero Maccari Prize (Cetona, Italy). In 2021 the short film script “La fuga” (“The fugue”) was shortlisted as a finalist at the Firenze FilmCorti Festival (Florence, Italy).
As an author for the theatre, I wrote and staged the following comedies: "Quello che le muse non sanno" (“What Muses do not know”, Auditorium San Fedele, Milan, 2011), "La fioritura delle lenticchie" (“The Lentils’ blossoming”, Auditorium San Fedele, Milan, 2012), "La volpe e la brugola" (“The Fox and the Allen key”, Teatro Martinitt, Milan, 2013), "Tre piccole commedie brillanti" (“Three short dazzling comedies”, Teatro Nuovo, Milano, 2018). I also write satirical stories (“S come Letizia”, “S as Letitia”, Aracne, Rome, 2017), radio broadcast monologues and fairy tales.
As a music composer, I create original soundtracks for documentaries and short films in competion at national and international Festivals: Journée du Green Documentaire (Paris, France); Ecozine Film Festival (Zaragoza, Spain); BNP Paribas Green Film Festival (Kracow, Poland); Architecture Film Festival Rotterdam (Rotterdam, Netherlands); The International Wildlife Film Festival Green Screen (Eckernförde, Germany); Ceres Food Film Festival (New York, U.S.A.); Istanbul International Architecture and Urban Films Festival (Istanbul, Turkey); UMgungundlovu Film Festival (Pietermaritzburg, South Africa); Festival CinemAmbiente (Turin, Italy); Milano Design Film Festival (Milan, Italy); Ortometraggi (Turin, Italy)….
Two documentaries for which I composed the original soundtrack received major distinctions. “A Letter to the Sycamore” by Maurizio Dalla Palma received the AFA (Architecture Film Award) Special Mention at the Milano Design Film Festival in 2024. “Milan 20-21” by Maurizio Dalla Palma was shortlisted as a finalist at the Ajman Film Biennale Urban Visions (Expo Dubai) in 2020 and presented at the Australia's National Museum of Screen Culture (ACMI) in Melbourne in 2022.
